Formats of the contenet and interpreted records
Based on the article format, the stored content of the articles is converted (transformed) into HTML content in order to display the content in the browser. The format of the article is entered as a parameter of the article, and on the basis of the format entry the content of the article if interpreted. Content can be entered and saved in the following formats :
  • TXT - Plain text. All the characters of the text are interpreted as an actual text and converted if necessary into the HTML pattern so that a same text is displayed on the page, including line spacing. All formatting and control characters of other formats are interpreted as actual characters of the text.
  • HTM - HTML code. The content is interpreted only in the context of non-standard tags, and in the compilation of the content is used as specified. The system tries to interpret non-standard tags on the basis of the settings and the internal implementation. If there is no interpretation of the tag, then it will be used as specified.
  • HTX - HTML code with the interpretation of the line spacing. The content is interpreted as HTM format, with the difference that the line spacing is interpreted as <br> tags, so the HTML line spacing.
  • WIK - It is the main format of the content, with extensive options for text formatting, referencing articles and other functionality. The WIK format makes it easy to specify the formatting of the sections of the text using the prefix and suffix characters, referencing other articles, inline insertion of the content of other articles, inserting dynamic content as parameters and listings, inserting images, java elements, LaTeX and mathematical expressions and other components of the content. The WIK format is implemented so that it is basically compatible with the system in the Internet encyclopedia Wiki, and also allows the use of standard HTML formatting and page-makup tags.
  • MNU - The list of references and sub-references. The content of the MNU articles is interpreted according to the object referencing the article (menu, tree, wik).
  • TBL - The data of a table. The column delimiter is the "|" perpendicular line character. The content of the columns can be in the WIK format, but must not contain the delimiter "|". In the case of an inline reference of TBL article, the content is automatically displayed in the form of a table.
  • GFX - The GFX content is interpreted as the batch of graphics commands to construct (compile) the image. This functionality is available if the graphic module SoftVision SpaceDisplay is either part of the system, or is available remotely as a graphic server. Graphic subsystem SpaceDisplay represents the object 3D graphic space with extensive possibilities of graphical objects and parameterization, the possibility of using mathematical expressions, generating charts, the insertion of LaTeX and MATH output, the execution of the graphic macros, and the composition of the output images from multiple graphical GFX articles.
  • LTX - The content is interpreted as the LaTeX format, and on the basis of the content a LaTeX output image is created, using the external LaTeX system. Available if there is a LaTeX system available.
  • MTH - The content is interpreted as the MATH format (math environment) of the LaTeX system, and on the basis of the content a LaTeX output mathematical image is created, using the external LaTeX system. Available if there is a LaTeX system available.
  • LPI - The content is interpreted as the PICTURE format (picture environment) of the LaTeX system, and on the basis of the content a LaTeX output graphical image is created, using the external LaTeX system. Available if there is a LaTeX system available.
The content format identifiers are intended to indicate the format of the article content, and thus to determine the method (algorithm) used to interpret (transform) the article content into the HTML output. The system allows to use the format identifiers to denote the blocks of text in the WIK article, enclosing the text between the opening <fmt> and closing </fmt> tag, which makes the denoted block of text to be interpreted using algorithm corresponding to the FMT content format. Denoting of the content blocks between the opening and closing format tags allows to specify the attributes of the output according to the type of output, such as alignment, and the like.
